About Philip Villaume

Civil and criminal law attorney Philip Villaume has been practicing law and litigating trials in Minnesota and Wisconsin for more than three decades. Philip Villaume has represented individuals, and educational institutions in workplace discrimination, criminal defense, and other civil and criminal litigation cases.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Mr. Villaume has served as an adjunct professor with the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and the University of Minnesota. He has taught courses at the University of St. Thomas School of Law for more than two decades. As a reflection of his expertise in his field, he has presented seminars covering employment law topics such as workplace safety, diversity and bias, and discrimination complaints.

Mr. Villaume has received several accolades over the years. He has appeared on the Minnesota Super Lawyers list eight times and was selected by the American Academy of Trial Lawyers as one of its Premier 100 Trial Attorneys In 2020 he was awarded Lifetime Achievement by the The Premier Lawyers of America.
